England Fans Beg Thomas Tuchel to 'Stop Playing' Star After 'Awful' Andorra Display

 England fans have slammed one player's 'awful' performance during the uninspiring 1-0 win over Andorra on Saturday. After a dull first half where the Three Lions struggled to find a breakthrough, it would be who else but Harry Kane to break the deadlock five minutes into the second half to guide Thomas Tuchel's men to a third successive win of their World Cup qualifying campaign.

Tuchel opted to name a rather 'experimental' starting line-up which included Reece James and Curtis Jones at full-back, Noni Madueke on the wing and Jordan Henderson making his first start for his country since 2023. However, it was another star who was handed the bulk of the criticism online, with several claiming him to be out of his depth in an England jersey.

The Newcastle defender has not had an easy transition into international football

Starting at the heart of defence for just his second international cap was Newcastle hero Dan Burn. The 33-year-old was handed his debut following his Carabao Cup final heroics, being named in Tuchel's first-ever England XI.

Alongside Aston Villa's Ezri Konsa, it was a relatively comfortable evening for Burn considering the level of the opposition, but that didn't stop him from having some moments that left plenty of the Barmy Army nervous. While he came out on top in all of his aerial duels, as you would expect of someone with a height of six-foot-seven, he was far less successful on his feet, winning just two of six.

He was also laboured in possession at times, notably getting caught on the ball as Andorra sparked one of their rare attacks of the game which led to a dangerous free-kick.

As a result of his unconvincing display, several England fans have demanded that Tuchel take Burn out of the firing line and not let him represent the country again.

"Dan Burn again incapable of playing a basic pass," argued a fifth, while a sixth bluntly stated: "Please stop playing Dan Burn."
