Suzuki Stops Taking Orders for New Jimny as Demand Skyrockets
The Suzuki Jimny, a compact four-wheel-drive SUV, is introducing its first four-door model, named the Jimny Nomade. For years, the Jimny, which has never been sold in the States, has been solely a mini two-door SUV, and the demand for the new model is so high that Suzuki had to stop taking orders. The company says it received approximately 50,000 orders for the Jimny Nomade within just a few days.

Why Is This Small SUV So Popular?
Suzuki says that the amount of orders "far exceeds" its sales plan for the new model. Why is it so popular? The Jimny has always been a popular, capable, and nimble two-door off-roader. However, the new Jimny Nomade's longer wheelbase and extra set of doors make it more practical and comfortable to live with without sacrificing its character, which makes it so loveable in the first place. Think of Ford only selling the Bronco with two doors. Imagine how much demand there would be for a four-door when it came out. The Jimny Nomade is 13.4 inches longer than the two-door model but still 36 inches shorter than a four-door Ford Bronco. It's the perfect size for an all-terrain SUV like this one.
